'Destiny' 'Age Of Triumph' Introduces Daybreak Strikes And More
"Destiny" players are possibly waiting for Bungie and their full reveal of what's in store for the "Age of Triumph" live next week. The developer is probably adding to the hype with its latest video trailer. The shared video highlights a possible new feature called Daybreak strikes and teases a refresh of the Prison of Elders game mode. Reports claimed that these two will be packaged into "weekly rituals," according to the developer.
These "rituals" are the game modes found on the bottom left side of the Director screen. Players are not yet aware of the official details of these new strikes, but speculations based on the trailer seem to indicate what's in store. Game Rant reports that the official Twitch stream to showcase the new features is scheduled to go live on Wednesday.
Sources have noted some possible clues to the Daybreak strikes and what they bring to the "Age of Triumph" in "Destiny". According to Bungie, the new live event is apparently bringing more "mayhem" to its strikes, which somehow teases some elements of the Mayhem PVP mode integrated into the PVE missions in the game. Players also noticed that the new trailer supports their suspicions about the new content.
The video showcases several guardians as they power through enemies with their supers activated. The game's Mayhem mode carries a modifier that allows players to quickly build up their super meter and unleash them regularly. It also reduces the cooldown of several abilities as well as grenade cooldowns. It also features the refresh of the game's only arena mode.
It appears "Destiny" fans have more reasons to look forward to the "Age of Triumph" live event next week. Besides the newly teased refresh of Prison of Elders and Daybreak strikes, Bungie has already teased the return of Elemental primary weapons and updates raids, as reported by Gamenguide. The live event is scheduled to launch on March 28, 2017.
