The fastest Warframe, Gauss, has finally entered Prime Access. Warframe players are now able to get their hands on the "Prime" versions of Gauss, as well as his trusty weapons, Acceltra and Akarius.

Gauss Prime Access

For the uninitiated, "Prime" versions of Warframes and weapons in the game are decked out with golden ornaments to make them stand out. But more importantly, they come with far better stats than their original versions.

Gauss Prime, for example, has a higher shield and sprint speed compared to his base version. Acceltra Prime, the micro missile launcher that Gauss loves to use to destroy enemies with ease, has higher total damage, higher base crit multiplier, and faster reload speeds than its normal counterpart.

How about the Akarius Prime? These dual burst-fire rocket launchers have a considerably higher base critical strike chance and burst damage potential compared to their base version. However, it is worth pointing out that it has a slightly lower magazine capacity, though the pros certainly outweigh the cons.

How to Acquire

Warframe players who are interested in getting the "Prime" versions of Gauss, Acceltra, and Akarius have two ways to obtain them. The first is by acquiring their blueprints from various Void Relics. Here is a rundown for reference:

GAUSS PRIME

  • Head: Meso H5

  • Chassis: Neo W1

  • Systems: Lith G9

  • Blueprint: Axi B7

ACCELTRA PRIME

  • Stock: Axi A18

  • Barrel: Meso A5

  • Receiver: Neo F3

  • Blueprint: Lith C11

AKARIUS PRIME

  • Link: Lith R5

  • Receiver: Lith A6

  • Barrel: Axi D5

  • Blueprint: Neo A11

Keep in mind that most of these relics are hard to obtain. Fortunately, Digital Extremes provides players with another way of acquiring these and that is by spending money to buy the Gauss Prime Access bundle.

Patch Highlights

Aside from Gauss Prime, Digital Extremes released an update for Warframe that implemented some interesting changes. For one, enemies are no longer capable of dealing critical hits to players and their allies. This is to make enemy damage more consistent and predictable.

Additionally, players can now decrease their Clan Rank since the Operation: Gargoyle's Cry event has already concluded.

The update also brought plenty of bug fixes. Here are just some of the most notable:

ALBRECHT'S LABORATORIES

  • Fixed the map search radius for Necramite Drones not appearing in Netracell missions (including the Whispers in the Walls Quest stage).

  • Fixed the "kill enemies to lower security level" radius marker in Netracell missions spawning very far from the Security Matrix.

  • Fixed heat vents in Alchemy missions spawning very far from players.

CROSS PLATFORM SAVE

  • Fixed a primary account being automatically selected for you if either of the accounts being linked had been created after the merge cutoff date (November 24 at 2 p.m. ET)

GENERAL FIXES

  • Fixed cases where Exalted Weapons could be unmodded in Duviri.

  • Fixed the introductory cinematic in the Heart of Deimos Quest not playing for players on low spec machines, causing them to be unable to progress in the Quest.

  • Fixed the "Auxiliary" tab appearing in the Arsenal even if the Warframe does not have any Auxiliary customizations available.

  • Fixed bundle items disappearing from the Bundle's in-game Market page after hitting the "Cancel" button from the "Confirm Purchase" options.

Now that Gauss Prime is available in Warframe, are you going to get your hands on it soon?
