From Software New Game 'Project Beast' Footage Leaks, Shows Off Twisted World Similar To 'Dark Souls' [VIDEO]

First Footage of From Software's Next Game Project Beast Leaks, Shows off World Similar to Dark Souls

The first footage of a new game by From Software, developers of Dark Souls, has leaked online.

Console vs. PC Graphics Comparison for Dark Souls 2

Currently called Project Beast, users of forum site NeoGAF put together several leaked clips to create the video below. It's a dark and twisted looking world, not dissimilar to what you see in Dark Souls, and that includes the apparent gameplay.

Many of the same elements are present, even though it's hard to say what exactly you can do in the game based on a 20-second video. A huge boss enemy appears at the end, but the player doesn't get too close to make out any real details. The music is not original to the game, but a song from Demon Souls.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Likely On The Way As Publisher Sees Series As 'Permanent Franchise'

The video quality isn't too high, so it's a bit blurry, but the graphics look fairly impressive, particularly the scene with the torch-wielding enemies. A slightly higher quality version can be found here.

Rumors say that this title may be exclusive to the PlayStation 4, just as Demon's Souls was on PS3. In that instance, the game was developed and published by a partnership of Sony Japan and From Software, so it's plausible the same deal could happen again, as harsh as it would be for Xbox owners that have been enjoying the studio's games.

Dark Souls creator Hidetaka Miyazaki, who recently became the president of From Software, is supposedly the lead on Project Beast, so fans of the developer can rest assured this title is in good hands.
