Steam Holiday Sale For December 26 Is Live, Great Deals Today On Shadow Of Mordor, CSGO, Brothers, And More

The Steam holiday sale continues to roll on, offering new deals each day and shorter-term flash sales in between.

PSN Still Offline Following Alleged Christmas Day Attack, Xbox Live Now Seemingly Back On Its Feet

The discounted games range throughout many years and genres, so there's undoubtedly something to interest you. Steam's sales have a reputation for tormenting the wallets of gamers everywhere, but it should be a joyous occasion--let's look at what's on tap for today.

The deals right now seem to be some of the best so far, though I suppose that all depends on personal taste. The excellent Shadow of Mordor is $29.99, a significant cut from its usual $49.99. Counter Strike Global Offensive is $7.49, even cheaper than its previous price earlier in the sale. Company of Heroes 2 is another fairly major title available at a steep discount (now $9.99), and though Thief was not the most well-received title, its $7.49 sales price might still interest you.

The less big-budget or indie titles are where today's sale shines, though. Brothers: Tale of Two Sons is just $1.49, while city management/builders Banished and Anno 2070 are $7.99 and $7.49, respectively. Kerbal Space Program's early access is also $17.99 instead of the usual $29.99.

The current flash deals include Resident Evil 6, Gods Will Be Watching, Fight the Dragon, FTL, Viscera Cleanup Detail, and Turbo Dismount. These are available for 12 more hours, while those listed above will stay around as the daily deals until tomorrow at 1 p.m. EST, where they'll be moved to "yesterday's deals" for an extra day. Happy shopping!
