Heroes Of The Storm Beta Update Adds Sylvanas, A New Battleground And Lots Of Adjustments To Various Heroes

Sylvanas Enters The Nexus In 'Heroes Of The Storm' Alongside A New Battleground And Some Major Hero Talent Overhauls

Blizzard invites you to come and celebrate the afterlife and welcome the latest challenger to Heroes of the Storm, Sylvanas Windrunner!

Heroes Of The Storm: Win Or Lose, Everybody Moves Forward And We Love That

The Queen of the Forsaken - the fallen Blood Elf who became leader of the Forskaen sect of the Scourge undead in World of Warcraft - steps into the Nexus alongside both friend and foe alike. A Ranged Specialist, Sylvanas is superb at confounding, cursing, disabling and possessing enemy creeps and minions. Why beat them when they can join you?

She's an Easy hero to command and you can try her out in a quick single player match all this week to get a feel for her abilities and heroics. Those wishing to purchase Sylvanas can do so for $9.99 or 15,000 gold. Her two skins - Master and Ranger General (her Belf form) run for 10,000 gold and $7.49 (25% discount), respectively.

The WoW Token Comes To The Public Test Realm

Currently, Sylvanas is not available via the free rotation. At least for low levels like me. You can check out all of Sylvanas' backstory as well as her new abilities via the official character page.

The User Interface has gotten a major overhaul, adding the new Try Me button for the latest heroes and switching up the location of certain items. Your character portrait is now in the top right corner and the shop tab is more prominent.

A new battleground joins the rotation: the Tomb of the Spider Queen, a mid-size underground cavern in which players must gather up Gems of Power from various spider minions and enemy heroes. Collect 50 and deposit them on the Altar and a wave of 'Webweavers' will flood all three lanes and lay siege to the enemy's forts.

Many of the heroes have had their numbers adjusted. Find out who's been nerfed via the official update page.

Team League has finally been added! Players can now create named teams with dedicated rosters in order to participate in ranked, competitive matches as a group against other teams of similar skill. You need to be player level 40 and own 10 different heroes to form your own posse.

Heroes of the Storm is currently in beta. You can sign up via battle.net for your chance to get in on the action.
