'For Honor' Latest News, Release Date & Update: Ubisoft Unveils New Trailers for Three Class Types—Samurai, Viking & Knight [VIDEO]

There's quite a long way to go before Ubisoft releases the upcoming action hack and slash video game "For Honor," as it won't be arriving until February next year. Taking advantage of the PAX West 2016 event, the studio has released some fresh trailers.

Showcasing the three class types that gamers can play once it arrives on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC next year. Tagged "Hero Series," the three new trailers bring to light the Samurai, Viking, and Knight archetypes.

One of the 'For Honor' characters gamers can play is the Kensei, which according to Cinemablend is an honorable Samurai warrior who is armed with a Nodachi, a type of large sword used to behead enemies. The more popular archetype is the Raider, a Viking who is armed with a sizable battle ax called the Dane Axe.

Vikings are distinguished by their massive strength combined with a light armor to enable them to move more quickly and more efficiently. Gamers would also be happy to know that these Raiders are strong enough to lift their opponents and throw them around. The game also features the Warden, a Knight who is equipped with and is skilled at handling the long sword.

Gamerant reports that there's so much more to look forward to when Ubisoft continues to release "For Honor," as the Samurai, Viking, and Knight are just three of 12 different hero classes that will be included in the game. Gamers can also expect to select from six warriors during the game's alpha period, which begins on September 15.

In addition, 'For Honor' will also feature an amazing single player campaign which promises an interesting narrative that begins with the angel Apollyon from the Book of Revelation making sure that the Samurai, Vikings, and Knights will forever remain in a state of chaos.

'For Honor' is directed by Jason VandenBerghe and produced by Stephane Cardin, and will arrive to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC on February 14, 2017.
