'Overwatch' News and Updates: Blizzard Announced That Overwatch Is Free to Play on Nov. 18 Through Nov.21.

Great news to all gamers because Blizzard has announced that "Overwatch" would be free to play starting Nov. 18 until Nov. 21 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.

"Overwatch" is a team-based multiplayer first-person shooter video game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment and designed by Scott Mercer, Jeremy Craig and Michael Elliott. It was released in May 2016 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

According to Polygon, players will have a chance to access all 22 heroes and 13 maps that are offered to play which includes Quick Play, Custom Games and the Weekly Brawl. In the instance that new players get interested in picking up the game once the free days trial ends, any progress made during the three-day period will be carried over once purchased.

Four different "Overwatch" game modes can also be played such as Assault, Escort, Assault/Escort and Control where each of these takes place in selected cities or locations where 12 players in a 6v6 format are supported with all modes and maps.

Players who wants to try "Overwatch" will need a PlayStation Plus membership, Xbox Live Gold membership or Battle.net account for them to be able to play. Blizzard said that the download file would be roughly 12 GB in size.

However, Competitive Mode will not be offered by Blizzard to players who are trying out the game within the three-day trial. At 11 AM PT on Nov. 18, Overwatch free-to-play starts and ends at 4 PM ET on Nov. 21.
