‘The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Special Edition’ News & Update: Players Complain Crashes With Patch 1.1, Bethesda Releases Patch 1.2 Beta!

The recent Patch 1.1 update yesterday for "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Special Edition" seems to have caused trouble for gamers instead of making improvements for the game. After the numerous complaints, a new Patch 1.2 update has been released today to fix the bugs and technical issues of the title.

The Patch release in any games is normal, especially if the developer made some updates like fixing minor bugs and adding some quests. But, it turned out that the Patch 1.1 for "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Special Edition" made the minor issues worse, which affected the gameplay.

On Reddit, some PC, PS4 and Xbox One player of "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Special Edition" are experiencing a lot of freezing and force closing even by just loading the saved game. The PS4 player named Lucky_Lungs posted that this only occurred after he downloaded the Patch 1.1 update. The Xbox One user El-chapper have experienced the same trouble and even tried to disable his few mods but it did not fix the problem.

The complaints have reached Bethesda, developer of "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Special Edition," but the developer did not provide any official statement yet about the complaints. However, Bethesda released today a new Patch 1.2 update but still under Beta test.

According to Game Spot, the Patch 1.2 Beta update for "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Special Edition" seems to have no significant features, but the Patch notes indicate that it will fix various crashes and some performance improvements. However, the new Patch is not intended for the complaints posted on Reddit and Bethesda claimed that it will investigate those complaints, but there are no details if when the new fix will arrive.

The Patch 1.2 Beta for "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Special Edition" include fixes in general stability and performance, Alt+Tab issue with PC users, and water flow render issue. Also, the new Patch resolves crash in switching form from the werewolf back to human form, crash issues to reloading after changing load order of mods, and improvements with browsing mods.

Meanwhile, for those who want to try the Patch 1.2 Beta of "The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Special Edition," this is specifically only for PC users. The Beta update can be found in the Properties menu via Steam and selecting Beta from the Beta drop-down menu.
