'Pokemon Go' Latest News & Update: Niantic Thanksgiving Event Is Finally Here! To Feature Double Stardust & XP Starting Today!

Over the past weeks, the "Pokemon Go" mobile app's center of attention is the upcoming Thanksgiving event that is said to start on November 24. It is almost Thanksgiving and the latest "Pokemon Go" event will soon be here as promised by Niantic themselves.

The anticipated 'Pokemon Go' Thanksgiving event is here!

In the "Pokemon Go" official webpage, Niantic officially announces the start of the "Pokemon Go" Thanksgiving event. In the Pokemon Hub, Niantic states that the company is humbled that hundreds of millions of "Pokemon Go" players around the world have joined the company in this journey.

Starting on Nov. 23 at 12 A.M. UTC and going until Nov. 30 12 A.M. UTC, Niantic will official begin the "Pokemon Go" Thanksgiving event. The "Pokemon Go" Thanksgiving event will feature a double on experience points and Stardust when "Pokemon Go" players catch wild pokemons in their respective cities and towns.

Unlike the previous Halloween event, the "Pokemon Go" Thanksgiving event will not have any increased spawn rate of a few selected pokemons. However, the "Pokemon Go" Thanksgiving event seems to be longer than anticipated unlike the five-day Halloween event.

But still, it is unclear whether the "Pokemon Go" Thanksgiving event would is limited to the U.S. or other countries as well like the Halloween event. So far, there is no official word about what other countries will be included in the "Pokemon Go" Thanksgiving event.

Previous rumors state that the "Pokemon Go" Thanksgiving event would have selected pokemons that will spawn out regularly and shortened walking distance for the Buddy system will also be applied. The Thanksgiving event was rumored to have pokemons spawns such as Spearow, Fearow, Pysduck, Golduck, Slowpoke, Slowbro, Ponyta and Rapidash.
