'Injustice 2' Story Trailer And Purchase Options

The first "Injustice" game was praised for its interesting story. The game's story was reportedly further expanded through a series of comic books that continued until 2016. The "Injustice 2" story campaign continues with Superman defeated by Batman. The narrative describes the two characters and how everyone else sees them.

The trailer initially opens with the two characters in their respective situations. The man of steel is apparently imprisoned and is called savior or monster. The dark knight is shown monitoring live camera feeds of different areas while he is labeled as guardian and vigilante. According to Shoryuken, it is suspected that Gotham's hero might have gone crazy as he is shown fighting the boy wonder in one of the scenes.

The "Injustice 2" trailer also shows glimpses of some of its roster. It shows Super Girl and Wonder Woman clashing in the battlefield, while some scenes reveal Pison Ivy, Bane, Robin and Darkseid. The narrative suggests that previous alliances have broken and new ones have formed, which hints at new factions being made. Brainiac eventually enters the scene and appears to be the voice behind the narrative.

Towards the end of the trailer it is confirmed that Darkseid is the first officially announced DLC character. He is available for free for those who pre-order the game. Netherrealm also introduces the different purchase options for the game. The Standard Edition costs $59.99 and is a barebones copy of the game only, says Event Hubs.

The Deluxe Edition is $79.99 and nets users three DLC characters, a premier skin to change Super Girl into Powergirl and an exclusive gear shader pack. The Ultimate Edition retails for $99.99 gives players access to 9 DLC characters, three premier skins which include Super Girl into Powergirl, Flash into Reverse Flash and Green Lantern into John Stewart. Two gear shader packs are also included in the "Injustice 2" Ultimate Edition. The game officially launches on May 16, 2017.
