‘Attack on Titan’ Season 2 Release Date Confirmed; Horrific New Titans On Their Way

"Attack on Titan" Season 2 confirmed! Funimation announces that the horrific flesh-eating giants are on their way back. Fans who wanted more after being teased by the Season 2 trailer released late last year are hyped for the Titan's return this year.

After the blockbuster success of the first "Attack on Titan" movie last year, Funimation built fan expectation for the movie's second season by releasing a trailer late last year. Many were thrilled and fans were keeping an eye for more details. But no other information about the much anticipated "Attack on Titan" Season 2 came, well, until today.

Polygon reports that "Attack on Titan" Season 2 will return on April 1. Titan fans are thrilled as Funimation officially announces the upcoming release of the sought-after movie sequel. However, many skeptic fans are unconvinced since Funimation's date of choice fall on April fools.

According to Comic Book, the "Attack on Titan" Season 2 hints that many new Titans will be introduced in the upcoming movie installment. The trailer reveals that one of the new Titans of the second season includes a giant hairy titan dubbed as the "Beast Titan".

Titans are huge humanoid man-eating monsters who continue to bring chaos to the city of Shinganshina. Nobody knows the origin of these beasts and people have no clue as to why they are attacking the city's populace.

The Titans have become a fatal threat. What remains of humanity is protected by three walls; Wall Maria, Wall Rose and Wall Sheena. In "Attack on Titan" Season 2, lead Eren Yeager, Mikasa, his sister and his friend Armin are still filled with panic. The Titans have broken into the first wall and reports claim it seems like the monsters have breached the second one in the second season.

Many believe that a few good Titans have been protecting humanity from the evil ones. Could there be good beyond the horrific monsters or will greater horrors break in.  We'll find out on April 1.
