The most popular shooting game today, Ubisoft's "Rainbow Six Siege", had given away a free version of the team-based shooter last weekend. The free version was free to play on PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One. The game comes in full version, with all the characters, modes, and maps.

In addition, another good news has been announced recently by the producer. The player can already avail the game for $25 instead of $50, according to Gamespot. This is because of the game price mark down to 50 percent at the moment when the free weekend ends. "Rainbow Six Siege" is surely worth the purchase because it has a stunning environment and powered with the latest gaming technology.

"Rainbow Six Siege's" free version was scheduled for each specific platform during the free weekend. Each and every platform had a different schedule. The PC users are scheduled on last February 5, February 6 was scheduled for Playstation 4 users, and for Xbox One users was February 2 to February 6, all has a specific time given. Console players who had taken their part of the free weekend surely did get their Playstation Plus or Xbox Live Gold.

According to Polygon, the "Rainbow Six Siege's" free weekend was leading the release of the game's first major content update, the Operation Velvet Shell. The new update Velvet Shell is said to kick off this day. It features the Grupo Especial de Operaciones, the two new Operators of the Spanish special forces, and includes new map called the Coastline.

Mira an attacker and Jackal are the two new characters in the latest expansion which will be a part of the defense team. Jackal has the ability tracking enemy's footsteps, while Mira is an attacker that can blast holes through enemy walls with its explosives. Few days before the update's release along with "Rainbow Six Siege" tournament, is a demo of the characters.
