Microsoft Likely Will Show Off Xbox Project Scorpio On June 11

Microsoft has reportedly posted some news via their Xbox Twitter page that further teased the unveiling of its next-generation flagship game system called Project Scorpio. They have apparently confirmed that the official reveal will be on June 11, 2017 at the E3 game show in Los Angeles, California. The tweet obviously had a photo of the speculated internal components of the new gaming device.

The posted message said "brace for big news" and included the time of their presentation, which is set for 2 P.M. PT. Players noted that the image was ultra-high-def 4K chipset, which is obviously not being used on the current Xbox One, reports CNET. However, most gamers have already seen the photo come up in teaser videos and other reports about the company's next game console.

Sources have also pointed out that Microsoft didn't mention anything about Project Scorpio, but the posted photo was reportedly also shown during their E3 keynote last year. Reports have noted that the company claims that their new console is going to be the powerful. It is also going to run games for the Xbox One on a much better resolution. The company states that it will be 4.5 time more powerful than the One and can push game to 60 FPS without issue.

Gamespot reports that Xbox boss Phil Spencer already hinted the company's E3 2017 lineup last month. He revealed that this year will not be about "Halo" or "Gears of War," which apparently informs fans that there will not be any game announcement related to those series. Instead, they are planning to focus on "new experiences with different IP."

With their latest tease for the Project Scorpio, Microsoft is apparently the first one to officially announce their E3 briefing schedule. Xbox fans are obviously excited to possibly see the new flagship console in action during the game show. Previously leaked specifications for the device already show that its more powerful than the competition.
