'Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite' Releases Story Trailer & Reveals New Boss

Capcom treated fighting game fans to a surprise when it revealed the first story trailer for "Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite". The trailer showcases some of the new fighters that will be included in the roster and focuses on the game's main antagonist Ultron Sigma. The developers seem to have taken a popular villain from each franchise and combined them to create the game's boss character, which was surprisingly unexpected.

The "Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite" trailer showcases the two bad guys, Ultron from the Marvel side and Sigma from Capcom. According to Game Rant, the two appear to share the same ideas and decided to use the Infinity Stones to become Ultron Sigma. This is also the first time in the fighting game series wherein the roster features an original combo character. The trailer does not contain any gameplay and purely introduces the story for the upcoming fighter.

Some previously unannounced fighters were also introduced in the story trailer. From Marvel, the characters are Ultron, Thor, Rocket Racoon, The Hulk and Hawkeye. Meanwhile, Capcom brings along Chun-Li, Chris Redfield, Strider Hiryu and Sigma. All these matched the leak report from Shoryuken that listed these characters before the "Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite" trailer was released.

Moreover, the new "Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite" trailer also touted the different three editions available for purchase and the game's release date. Fans can expect the crossover fighting game to launch on Sept. 19, 2017. The standard edition will cost $59.99 as usual, while the deluxe edition comes in at $89.99. The deluxe package comes with a steelbook case and a season pass for six post-launch characters. The bundle will also feature the Gladiator Hulk and Command Mission X costumes.

Meanwhile, the collector's edition for "Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite" costs $199.99 and contains a lot of premium items. The most notable of the loot comes in the form of LED-powered replicas of the Infinity Stones in a custom-designed box. It will also include four interlocking dioramas of Iron Man, Mega Man X, Captain Marvel and Chun-Li as well as the in-game content included in the deluxe edition. All pre-orders however, will give players access to the Evil Ryu and Warrior Thor skins. Sigma was also revealed to be the first post-launch DLC character.
