After months of waiting, Capcom finally released the PC version of Monster Hunter Rise, and much like its original Nintendo Switch version, players of the open-world action-adventure role-playing game can clear its wide variety of quests either with their own or with other players in online co-op multiplayer ones.

There is a way for them to do multiplayer in the game in order to clear the said quests quickly and earn loot as reward after taking on tougher monsters, whether with their online friends or with any random player, or players.

How to Play Co-Op in Monster Hunter Rise

In order to play multiplayer in Monster Hunter Rise, whether if it is with a friend or any random player, they need to either create a lobby or join one.

To create an online lobby within the game, according to Attack of the Fanboy, they must first speak to Senri the Mailman, a calico non-playable character (NPC) that they will find in the middle of Kamakura Village. Then, they will select "Play Online," and from there, they will create an Online Lobby.

Once they created the said Lobby, according to IGN, they can either set a passcode, which they can send to their in-game friends so that they are the only ones that will be playing a co-op quest with them, or let it be open for any player who wanted to join.

Aside from the passcode, their friends can also join their Online Lobby either by finding them on their in-game Friends List, then selecting "View Lobby Info," or by accepting their invitation to join in on after choosing "Accept Lobby Invite" while talking to the NPC.

They can also either join a specific lobby, according to Eurogamer, by choosing "Search by Lobby ID," and enter the Lobby ID in order to enter regardless of any of its settings, or by responding a Join Request by choosing "Respond to Join Request" after choosing a specific quest.

If they want to play with random players, they will also need to choose "Play Online" once they are talking to Senri, but they will choose the "Find Lobby" option instead. From there, they can specify what Monster are they targeting, what type of quest they are taking, and what is the minimum and maximum Hunter Rank.

Once they are in the Online Lobby, they will go to the Gathering Hub, where they will talk to another NPC, Minoto, at the Quest Counter. While talking to her, they will choose a quest that is available to be posted in the Quest Board.

If the said quest is posted, they will interact to it in the aforementioned Quest Board, which is right beside Minoto inside the Gathering Hub. They can also access the Quest Board in their item menu on the bottom of their screen.

Once they have joined a quest, they will press "Ready" in order to start doing it with the party that is in the Online Lobby. If they started without everyone, other players can still join as long as the poster has loaded into the quest.

They can also to these while playing its original Nintendo Switch version, however as far as crossplaying, or playing the game between PC and the said hand-held console, goes, Monster Hunter Rise does not support said feature, as well as cross-saving.
