Noble Esports Org Owner Allegedly Not Paying Employees, Making Staff and Players Leave

Several reports revealed that Noble Esports' former Partnership Manager Dan Goodman accused the professional Esports organization of allegedly not paying their employees and players.

He also accused its owner, Kyle McDougal, of not paying rapper T-Pain for his services in hosting their tournaments.

According to Upcomer, he wrote in a farewell statement for the organization that was posted on his Twitter page that while people are buying their merchandise, the designer who worked two hours in making them did not receive any money from McDougal.

He then added that these are real people that the owner has worked with since he bought the Esports organization in 2020, and they need to be paid for their work.

He also wrote that employees became uncomfortable while working with McDougal, forcing themselves to leave Noble Esports because of his immaturity and disrespectful nature.

The post also said that the owner has listened to the wrong people regarding Nobility Tokens, a cryptocurrency that he ventured according to Dot Esports.

Aside from Goodman, other employees of Noble Esports that left the Esports organization also posted their experiences of not being paid on time.

According to InvenGlobal, Alice Chen, Noble Esports' former content director, wrote in a Twitlonger that McDougal did not pay her a month of salary and did not give all of her work samples.

Before leaving, Chen and her team left a post on the page saying that it would not work until they received the promised payment in their contracts. The tweet was then deleted before the page was deactivated.

According to Chen, McDougal deactivated the organization's Twitter page without formally terminating her and her social media team's contracts.

She added that this is not the first time the owner gave late or suspicious payments to his employees while censoring or deleting things from social media.

She also said that the organization has the money to pay their staff, but McDougal chose not to.

Brandon "Toti" Insfran, a Gears of War player that formerly played for Noble Esports, also tweeted that the owner has stopped responding to their direct messages.

He also made a separate Tweet saying that McDougal blocked everyone calling him out on social media, including former staff and players.

Hours after Goodman and Chen's Tweets were posted online, Noble Egames' Twitter page suddenly went online with a post containing McDougal's statement regarding the allegations of him not paying his staff and players.

According to the statement, McDougal said that they did not receive their pay because there is a problem with their PayPal account, which they are using in distributing money.

He said that because a hefty amount of their money was being wasted on paying fees, they decided to switch to using their company bank account, but it was locked and closed because it was used as an account for their Nobility Tokens.

He also added that even if they are working on creating a new bank account to distribute the money, there are times that a player in their Apex Legends team received their pay while the others did not.

This, according to McDougal, caused delays and frustration that he completely understood.

Lastly, he apologized to the individuals who have delayed payments or not been paid yet, saying that he did not mess around with their paychecks.

He also said that he did not say or do anything negative to any of his staff members or players during his time as the organization's owner, adding that he grew close enough to some of them that he even considered them as friends or family.
