Today, we put the spotight on Hell Let Loose for our #SteamSpotlight feature. Developed by Black Matter Pty Ltd and published by Team17, this game "puts you in the chaos of war, complete with deep player-controlled vehicles, a dynamically evolving frontline, and crucial platoon-focused gameplay that commands the tide of battle," according to its official website.

You are probably already wondering what we meant when we said that Hell Let Loose brings World War II FPS games to the next level. Its website describes the game as "a realistic multiplayer World War Two combined arms first person shooter of open battles of up to 100 players with infantry, tanks, artillery and a shifting front line."

Yes, you read that right. Players get to participate in 50 vs 50 multiplayer matches across the maps available in the game. Specifically, there are nine maps in Hell Let Loose, though more are frequently added as time goes by. These maps include significant locations during World War II, including Omaha Beach and Carenten.

You as the player get to pick one of the 14 playable roles within your infantry, according to the game's Steam page. These playable roles include medic, engineer, scout, machine gunner, tank commander, and more.

The Steam page of the game also points out that you get to control different types of vehicles in the game. As it is a World War II FPS game, it also goes without saying that you will also get to take control of different weapons to use in defeating your opponents.

You can expect realistic recoil patterns and ballistics that are pretty much to true to life.

Defense is also a big part of winning the game and you and your infantry will have to build fortifications that will keep you safe against your opponents.

Hell Let Loose has more than 46,000 user reviews on Steam. Majority of these reviews are described as "Very Positive" by the platform. 

A Steam user who goes by the name CHMA| Vonluck said in a review that Hell Let Loose that the game is "enjoyable for casual gamers but is challenging enough to satisfy hardcore players." The review also states that the game is the best World War II game that CHMA| Vonluck has played. 

Another Steam user who goes by the handle -TL- BAYRAKTAR wrote a review and said that the game is realistic, fun to play, and is all about teamwork, communication, as well as the doing the role you picked well.
