SpongeBob SquarePants, Patrick Star, and Sandy Cheeks are ready to join the fight in Brawlhalla courtesy of Patch 8.02. This update also introduces a new "Brawl of the Week" that takes fighters under the sea.
Welcome the New Brawlers
Your favorite inhabitants from Bikini Bottom are now playable in Brawlhalla via the new crossover skins. What's interesting is that SpongeBob is actually the game's first-ever Mythic Crossover. According to the developers, Mythic Crossover is a tier above Epic Crossovers, with additional features "to make them feel even more like the original IP."
Those who are new to Brawlhalla must keep in mind that crossover characters only mimic the abilities of existing Legends. That said, SpongeBob mimics Rayman, Patrick has Teros' abilities, and Sandy copies Cassidy's moves.
SpongeBob's Mythic Crossover status is on full display whenever you do certain things. For example, he wears the "Kah-Rah-Tay" gloves and helmet when the Gauntlets are equipped, and he dons his signature Krusty Krab fry cook hat when wielding an Axe.
Patrick and Sandy wield unique items that perfectly convey their individual personalities as well. Patrick can whack opponents using his Magic Bubble wand and Jellyfishing Net. Meanwhile, Sandy can shoot her enemies using her trusty Net Guns or melee them using "Nutsy."
To celebrate this awesome crossover event, the developers are handing out 250 gold as a daily login bonus. You will also receive the "Goofy Goober" title for free just for logging in at any time during the event.

New Brawl of the Week
The Bubble Tag Relay is the featured brawl of the week that combines the mechanics of two popular game modes in Brawlhalla: Bubble Tag and Strikeout. Bring a friend with you because you will be facing an enemy duo in this brawl.
Similar to Strikeout, you will choose three Legends as part of your roster before the game begins. During the battle, you will be trapped in a bubble every time you are struck by the enemy. When this happens, you cannot attack your foes but you can run away from them. You must coordinate with your teammate in order to break free from your encasement. The bubble breaks by having your ally attack it or run into it.
You will get points whenever you successfully knock out an opposing player. The first team to score five points wins the game!

- Battle Boots
- Battle Boots Side Light: Decreased threat coverage toward the rear of the attack.
- Battle Boots Down Light: Decreased threat coverage at the beginning of the attack; Decreased Hit Window from 5 to 4; Increased total Recover time on miss from 15 Fixed/15 Variable to 16 Fixed/15 Variable.
- Blasters
- Blasters Neutral Air: Decreased Time to Hit from 10 to 9.
- Gauntlets
- Gauntlets Neutral Light: Increased Force from 44 Fixed/40 Variable to 46 Fixed/42 Variable.
- Gauntlets Neutral Air: Decreased Stun from 16 to 12.
- Greatsword
- Greatsword Neutral Finisher (from Down Bridge): Decreased Time to Hit from 15 to 14; Slightly increased threat coverage near the user.
- Greatsword Down Air: Slightly decreased maximum allowed acceleration during the attack; Greatly decreased maximum allowed acceleration on miss.
- Rocket Lance
- Rocket Lance Neutral Air: Decreased Stun from a range of 32~27 to a range of 29~18.
- Scythe
- Scythe Down Air: Decreased Force of the forward aerial version from 52 Fixed/30 Variable to 52 Fixed/24 Variable; Decreased Force of the forward grounded version from 20 Fixed/30 Variable to 20 Fixed/24 Variable.
- Spear
- Spear Side Light: Decreased Stun from 19 to 17.
- Spear Side Air: Decreased Stun from 22 to 20.
