Zenyatta is quite popular in Overwatch 2 right now. Although he is a Support hero, his kit actually makes him quite effective in eliminating the members of the opposing team. If you want to use Zenyatta and would like to know how to best utilize him in combat, then you have come to the right place! Here are some amazing tips to help you rack up some kills with Overwatch 2's resident Omnic monk:

Use Orb of Discord Religiously

Orb of Discord is one of the most important abilities in Zenyatta's kit. If you are relatively new to Overwatch 2, Orb of Discord hits enemies with a debuff that makes them take increased damage from all sources.

Although it can only be attached to one enemy at a time, you should always use it as your first ability whenever you start attacking a particular target.

Always Use Charged-Up Attacks

Zenyatta's primary fire prompts him to throw one damaging orb at the enemy. While there is certainly nothing wrong with it, you are better off using his charged-up attack to maximize your damage output.

Simply press and hold the Alt-fire (right mouse button) for a few seconds and aim it at the enemy. When you land all of the orbs on a single target, they take considerably more damage, so much so that they will be forced to move away, or better yet, get eliminated.

Kick Enemies Away

The game's resident Omnic monk has a nifty ability that not a lot of players utilize. I am talking about his melee attack, Snap Kick. When you successfully hit an enemy hero with it, they will get knocked back a considerable distance, allowing you to get out of harm's way.

Unlike his other abilities, Snap Kick does not have a cooldown. So, whenever a member of the opposing team gets too close for comfort, never hesitate to use Snap Kick!

Right Time to Use Transcendence

Transcendence, Zenyatta's ultimate ability, allows him to heal his allies and make them impervious to attacks for a short duration. That said, when is the best time to use it?

Well, that entirely depends on your playstyle. If you are playing Zenyatta more aggressively, use Transcendence whenever your team makes a push.

On the other hand, Transcendence can be utilized defensively by activating it whenever the opposing team uses crowd-control abilities like Zarya's Graviton Surge, Sigma's Gravitic Flux, or Reinhardt's Earthshatter, just to name a few.

Now that you know how to play Zenyatta effectively in Overwatch 2, are you going to use the game's resident Omnic monk soon?
