Overwatch 2 Season 10 Unveils New Game Mode, Skins, Emotes, Rewards Included in Battle Pass

Overwatch 2's Season 10 is bringing a new game mode, Clash, as well as the latest Battle Pass that will add new skins, emotes, and rewards.

The latest content drop will also introduce a new DPS hero, Venture, who will be drilling into the competition with her massive weapon. On the other hand, the Clash trial will take place on Hanaoka, which is a map that looks similar to Hanamura from the original game.

The area exists canonically within the Hanamura district in Overwatch 2's near-future Japan setting. This means that Overwatch 1 players will be able to experience the same cherry blossom trees and stone walkways that were iconic on the original map.

The new game mode is different as it is a multi-point mode assault that comes from Overwatch 1. The patch notes for Season 10 gave players a good run-down of what to expect on how Clash will work in the full game, according to PCGamer.

There will be five capture points arranged in a line on a mirrored map, similar to the design of the control point maps that are already in the game. Each team will then start every match battling over the middle point.

After they successfully capture it, they will be awarded one point before another objective opens up closer to the first losing team's side. Players from both teams will continue to have a tug-of-war over the same points until one side gains five points or captures the furthest point on the opponent team's side.

Blizzard said during BlizzCon last year that the goal is to solve the stall-outs that were happening very frequently in 2CP. This is something that the Clash game mode is positioned to be a replacement for and will keep teams in constant combat.

Overwatch 2 seems to be struggling with downtime as its maps are becoming more and more compact to make teams run into each other faster and more often. The first new game mode introduced in the game, Push, has a similar tug-of-war style where teams escort a giant robot to either side of the map.

The rewards for the Season 10 Battle Pass include a variety of new skins and will give skins to Cassidy, Doomfist, Baptiste, Genji, Sombra, and Brigitte. Throughout the new season, there will be other skins for heroes such as Tracer and Reinhardt that will be available in the shop, said GameSpot.

The game's Battle Pass now also gives players different kinds of currency, including the premium paid currency known as Overwatch Coins and a new type known as Mythic Prisms. The latter can be used by players who want to get mythic-tier skins.

These are spent in a new section of the Overwatch 2 shop and the newest mythic skin is Vengeance Mercy. There are also other mythic skins available from previous seasons that players can buy.

The game is now selling Mthic Prisms in three bundles in the in-game store, 10 for $9.99, 50 for $39.99, and 100 for $79.99. This is relatively expensive as a base-level mythic skin, which has no additional customization options, will cost players roughly 50 Mythic Prisms and a fully upgraded one will cost 80 Mythic Prisms, according to Polygon.
