Released on July 23, 2021, Last Stop is developed by Variable State and published by Annapurna Interactive. It is a single-player game played in the third person, and it is set in present-day London.

In this game, you don't get to play as one character. You don't even get to play as two characters. Instead, you get to play as three characters as you go through the story. Here are the three characters you'll play as in the game:

  • Donna - a high schooler with a stifling family life who enjoys getting into teenage thrills with her friends
  • John - a single parent who is also very overworked and very jealous of his neighbor, who is living the life of a bachelor
  • Meena - a workaholic professional who is competing with a co-worker for a crucial promotion

Choices Matter

Playing as three different characters, you will eventually realize that your choices matter, especially when it comes to where the story goes. Each character has his or her own set of circumstances that are different from one other, and it is up to you to figure out where they lead.

Don't forget that you should expect some supernatural elements when you play Last Stop. How that affects the overall story is something you will understand as you go along.

"It feels like an interactive movie, kind of the same genre as Life is Strange or Heavy Rain but with less player choice," user thestrangepie says in a separate review.

"The story is mostly enjoyable, especially towards the end," thestrangepie adds. "The gameplay is pretty minimal, consisting mostly of walking, quick time events, and choosing dialogue."
