Space Epic Rebel Galaxy Confirmed For Xbox One And Mac; Demo Will Be Available At PAX South

Double Damage Games, the new studio founded by ex-Runic (Torchlight) devs, announced their debut game Rebel Galaxy last October for the PC and PS4. But it's a big, wide cosmos out there folks, and there's plenty of room for all of us.

Which is to say: Rebel Galaxy was just confirmed for the Xbox One and Mac platforms. Yes now!

"We've wanted to launch Rebel Galaxy on multiple platforms from the beginning, and today it's a pleasure to announce to Xbox and Mac communities that Rebel Galaxy will be coming to the Xbox One and OSX as well." said Travis Baldree, Co-Founder of Double Damage Games. "We wanted to wait to announce it until we had the game up and running on both platforms. That milestone has now been achieved!"

Final Fantasy XIV Patch 2.5 Before The Fall Trailer Shows A Dangerous And Beautiful World

The swashbuckling space opera puts you in command of an outlaw ship as you search for fame and fortune across a vast and unfriendly galaxy. Customize your ship, engage in aggressive negotiations with alien races, attack, pillage, run away and do it all again the next day like you're some Western hero-archetype aboard a ship filled with colorful characters with zippy dialogue.

Hey! They should totally make that into a tv show.

The game is due out this year, but Double Damage will be showing off the gameplay next week at PAX South from January 23 to 25.

"We've had so much fun developing this," Baldree said, "that we can't wait for players to get their hands on the game at this year's PAX South in San Antonio and encourage attendees of the expo to come and demo the game. We'd also like to extend our thanks to Blitworks (blitworks.com) for doing the heavy lifting on all of our ports."

See you, space cowboy.
