“Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed” brings in new features

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is the upcoming sequel to 2010's racing game Sonic  All-Stars Racing. With E3's details and exclusive screenshots released, fans can only anticipate another fast pace game, with some pleasing new features.

The latest edition will contain new characters to the series, as well as the ability for karts to transform into the air and sea-based vehicles (like boats and planes). New characters that you will see are: Gillius from Golden Axe, Joes Musashi from Shinobi, and Vyse from Skies of Arcadia. Real-life Pro racecar driver Danica Patrick will also be featured as a playable character in the game.

In addition, there is one map per game and each map in the upcoming installment is based on a specific IP. Surfaces like land, water and air are featured, again emphasizing the karts ability to transform. Each track is filled with power-ups that players can use to throw off opponents. (Those are always fun!) If you're skilled enough, you may be able to locate the super power-ups hidden in extra hard-to-get-to areas throughout the track.

Overall, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed adds a whole lot more to the series and this is mainly in terms of track design, characters and innovative vehicles.

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed will be released on Xbox 360, PS3, PlayStation Vita, 3Ds, and Wii U, this holiday season.
