Blackrock Mountain: A Hearthstone Adventure Release Date Set For Next Week

Ready your cards, strengthen your will and be sure to add some sunscreen because it's going to get a bit hot next week when Blackrock Mountain: A Hearthstone Adventure finally releases!

Sylvanas Comes To Heroes Of The Storm In Latest Patch

Blizzard has announced the release date for the Hearthstone expansion, which will go live in the Americas (including Southeast Asia and Oceania) next Tuesday, April 2. Europe, China, Taiwan and Korea will receive it on April 3.

The expansion, which is based on the central quest hub of Blackrock Mountain from World of Warcraft, is a five-wing dungeon similar to the game's first adventure, Curse of Naxxramas. Each week for five weeks, a new wing will be unlocked for players to journey into. Read about each of the five via the official Hearthstone posts: Delving into Blackrock Depths - The Towering Heights of Blackrock Spire - The Gooey Center of Molten Core  - The Dragons of Blackwing Lair - The Horrors of the Hidden Laboratory

A Few Notes On Dragons Of Tarkir, The Magic: The Gathering Expansion, Out Today

Blackrock Mountain adds 31 new cards; two cards per each of the game's nine classes, alongside 13 neutral cards. The new mechanic, in addition to making everything burn, is a focus on dragons both on and off the board. Many cards in the set allow you to boost other cards (via their Battlecry) so long as you are holding a dragon in your hand. We have several preview articles here, here and here.

The rest, you'll just have to discover yourselves.

Pre-purchase this new Adventure for $24.99 USD using real money, iTunes or Google Play balances, and you'll also add the all new Molten Core card back to your collection. The pre-purchase period ends when Blackrock Mountain goes live.

See you in the depths, next week.
