Surprising Draymond Green Statement After Losing the Championship Game Against the Cleveland Cavaliers

With the clock winding down to seconds and the Cleveland Cavaliers feeling the sweet taste of victory, the Golden State Warriors led by Draymond Green started to contemplate on the aftermath of the championship. With Kyrie Irving throwing the 3-point shot that may have sealed the Cavaliers win over the Warriors, there's a lot to think about and, for Draymond Green, it was his absolute impressive performance that went down to the drain.

After the 93-89 win of the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 7 of the 2016 NBA finals, Draymond Green is the picture of a beaten warrior, leaving the court absolutely disappointed by how it turned out for the 2015 NBA champions.

"No - (expletive) no. We lost. I'd rather have zero (points), and have everybody say, 'Draymond didn't show up and he sucked. But they won a championship'", Draymond Green said when asked whether he can credit his great performance as a way of saying they did their best, as featured on the USA Today. "That's all I care about. That's all I've ever been about. That's what I'll always be about."

Coming from someone who invested so much just to reach the championship and claim a back to back championship, Draymond Green needs to give himself credit but he had it coming. It wasn't an easy road to the finals let alone the championship when he was slapped with a one game suspension and some series of altercation between him and LeBron James, things are bound to get ugly.

Nevertheless, Draymond Green lauded the way the Cleveland Cavaliers rose to the occasion. "At the end of the day, they made a shot," he said of Kyrie Irving's incredible shot. "When both teams struggled offensively at the end to make a shot, Kyrie made a tough shot. It happens. That's why he's the player he is. He made a tough shot."

The Cleveland Cavaliers broke the record as the first team to ever come back from a 3-1 deficit in the NBA finals.
