‘Tom Clancy's The Division’ Latest News & Updates: Weapon Balance Patch For PS4 Delayed? Major Changes Revealed!

A much awaited weapon balance update is set to be released on June 28 for “Tom Clancy's The Division” by Ubisoft Massive though not all game consoles may be enjoying the patch.

The 1.3 patch for “Tom Clancy's The Division” was supposed to come out for all game major game consoles (PC, PS4 and Xbox One), but a recent update from community developer Hamish Bode reveals that the PlayStation 4 will experience a slight delay via the State of the Game broadcast.

PS4 patch delayed until August 2?

With the shooter 1.3 update limited to the Xbox One and PC versions this coming Tuesday, Bode adds that the “Tom Clancy's The Division”” patch will not be delayed until August 2.

What makes August 2 significant is that this is the day when “The Division Underground” expansion is scheduled to arrive on the PS4. This will be the first of three expansions for “The Division” with others such as “Survival” and “Last Stand” to follow.

The add-on content for “Tom Clancy's The Division” is part of the time-exclusive deal between Microsoft and Ubisoft as explained by Game Spot.

What changes are in store?

With the 1.3 patch coming alongside the “Underground” add-on, Game Rant reveals that among the major changes to expect include the nerf to SMGs across the board.

Damage will be reduced for the “Vector” and “AUG” to match SMG options, with the SMG now trading a base critical hit chance for a critical hit damage stat.

Aside from that, the M1A brand of weapon will make it more like a marksman’s rifle. The M1A rifle will expand shots in rapid succession which will force players to take better control of the weapon and not let their ammo go to waste.

A detailed list on the weapon changes can be found via the Ubisoft blog.

“AUG”, “Vector” and “M1A” are the most widely used weapons on “The Division” as players try to survive in-game. Gamers will be forced to make necessary adjustment as a result of the weapon balance changes, something that will hopefully level the battlefield.
