"The Last of Us 2" is yet to be revealed in the near future. Despite the fact that the first hit still exists, fans cannot help but think that a second installment should surface along the way.
Some rumors on the potential direction of "The Last of Us 2" may have spilled all over the Web via some alleged leaked images. One of which depicts a supposed pregnant woman with a gas mask carrying a gun and walking into a wasteland.
Sadly, this teaser has also not been confirmed yet and could be something that aims to spread false hopes to fans. According to Yibada, this is not the first incident in which fans had an unsure interpretation of a game that could be "The Last of Us 2".
It can be recalled that some hints of an upcoming game associated with Sony was aiming for a late 2015 release. This is what now people know as "Days Gone", an open world game that is also said to be set on a post-apocalyptic era.
Though it may have shattered fans' hopes, "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" voice actor Nolan North can be recalled on giving hints that "The Last of Us 2" is already in the works. Unfortunately, he took back the idea and claimed that he has no idea on whether it is indeed in development or not.
As for the plot, Ecumenical News delivered a possibility that it the protagonist Joel could be killed by Ellie. The thought is yet to be confirmed, but many fans have already speculated that the spotlight will belong to Ellie now and will most likely depend on how she will take on the world by herself.
