Mass Effect 3's Omega DLC was just recently released, but it looks like Bioware is already getting ready to work on the next expansion to the game.
IGN is reporting that Bioware is enlisting the helping of several names that have previously been involved in the series for a new add-on that has yet to be announced.
According to IGN, a post on Bioware forums by designer Jos Hendriks explains that about eight writers are penning a new script and that all of them had previously been involved with the Mass Effect 3 at some point.
Hendriks wrote, "It's all hands on deck for this one. Pretty much every ME3 DLC writer here in Edmonton is involved. (which would include both Patrick Weekes AND John Dombrow)."
IGN also reports that series veteran Sam Hulick is set to score the new DLC and that he tweeted, "What I'm up to lately: working on an unannounced Mass Effect 3 DLC! More details on this coming later on."
Hulick more recently provided the new original score for Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut DLC and previously composed music for Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3. He is the only composer to have worked on all three games in the sci-fi trilogy.
IGN points out that Hulick did not work on either the Leviathan or Omega DLC expansions for Mass Effect 3. Hulick also tweeted a teaser about the unnamed DLC's score. He tweeted, "Tossing in piano and muted strings for this one particular piece. High potential for tears. #ME3DLC."
Lastly, IGN reports that some of the game's principal voice actors have been in the studio likely reprising their roles for the expansion. BioWare producer and voice director Caroline Livingstone thanked Seth Green for another "fantastic session" on Twitter. Green has voiced the Normandy's pilot Jeff "Joker" Moreau in all three games.
According to the article, Raphael Sbarge had previously tweeted in October that he recorded new lines for the game, but his character Kaiden Alenko was not in the just released Omega DLC. So he could have likely been recording lines for this speculated and unannounced add-on.
