Robert Downey Jr. himself posted on Twitter an image of Riri Williams with a caption about getting ready for a new generation of Marvel. The actor could possibly be referring to the "Invincible Iron Man" comic book, of course.
But, how did Riri Williams became the new super hero in the story? Well, the 15-year-old girl is a brilliant student of Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She was making her own "Iron Man" suit but was later accused by the security of stealing some equipment. The female hero had no choice but to put into use her own prototype armor. Tony Stark heard the incident so he helped her later be the next superhero. Fans think that the "Iron Man 4" could also see Stark passing the crown to the girl.
In print, Riri Williams will be named as Iron Heart, according to a report by Wired. Brian Michael Bendis, the comic writer, revealed that their team have brain stormed a lot of names like "Iron Woman" and "Iron Maiden." It was Joe Quesada who eventually nailed the name in place. It is related to "Iron Man" putting on the armor to save his heart. So, should fans still expect for an "Iron Man 4" movie?
However, a report by Fusion sees a different story to "Iron Heart" saying that the name is linked to a Japanese pornography site. It questioned the research that Marvel has done before coming up with the new code name for Riri Williams, who is rumored to be wearing the suit in "Iron Man 4" movie. This is seen as "stylized sexual violence against women" considering that Riri is just a teenager super hero.
