It has been reported that "Star Wars Battlefront: Death Star" is already in the works and is set to be released very soon. This upcoming DLC looks promising and is set to bring a new playing mode and a host of playable Star Wars characters to make the game even more exciting.
GamenGuide reports that "Star Wars Battlefront: Death Star" is reportedly in the last phase of development and is nearing its completion. The developers of the game are allegedly alreadt working on the finishing touches which include lighting and visual effects for the latest content. Lead person Osca Carlen even teased on Twitter that he had to double his working effort on a Sunday so that he can make his Emperor happy. Considering this tremendous amount of dedication from Carlen so that he can meet the deadline, this DLC might arrive sooner than expected.
iTech Post reported that game developer EA recently showcased a sample of the Battle Station mode in "Star Wars Battlefront: Death Star" during the Gamescom 2016 in Germany. This new mode is divided into three sections and the first objective is to fly out and weaken a Star Destroyer's defense. This will also feature rebels that fly A-Wings and X-Wings that will battle it out in space with TIE Fighters and Interceptors.
As for the second objective, it will be to extract what appears to be a very important droid from within the Death Star. The rebel forces have managed to break inside the Imperial Space Station and players will get the exciting chance to play "Star Wars" characters Chewbacca and Bossk. For the third and final mission, players would get the exciting opportunity to relive a classic "Star Wars" experience through the first "Star Wars" space battle. Players can plays as either Luke Skywalker piloting an X-Wing or Darth Vader flying a TIE Advanced fighter, this can choose to save the Death Star or blow it to pieces.
To make the game as faithful to the original source as possible, the developers worked closely with Lucas Films, the original owner of the franchise. They also sought the help of senior creative director and art director of Lucas Films Doug Chang who has experience in working on other "Star Wars" games.
