'Pokemon GO' Buddy System News & Updates: Walking 10 Kms With Pikachu Reveals This Super Cool Easter Egg

"Pokemon Go" has truly been more than just a big hit mobile game for those who have made it part of their daily commute or jog. It has truly revolutionized the way gamers interact and play together, as they would really have to walk outside to play it. The latest update for the game appeared to just make it even better with the introduction of Buddy Pokemon, which brings players closer to a true to life Pokemon experience. What is even cooler is that, some players of "Pokemon Go" have uncovered a pleasant Easter egg which involves assigning Pikachu as the Buddy Pokemon.

Polygon reported that typically, the Buddy Pokemon will accompany the player and appear alongside the avatar, as they gather candies as they walk together. It has, however, been discovered that after 10 kilometers of walking with Pikachu, the adorable electric Pokemon will move to the trainer's shoulder. This is a clear reference to the anime source, wherein the main trainer Ash Ketchum had a deep relationship with his own Pikachu, which is always seen on his shoulder. This led to the Pikachu's increased popularity as against other fellow Pokemon, which made it the Pokemon franchise's official mascot.

While that feature would already make "Pokemon Go" more enjoyable, especially for those who want to relive their memories of the cartoon, which is not even the best thing yet. An amazing post in Rocket News 24 revealed some pictures of a Pikachu apparently posing and playing with the woman who gave its trainer her voice, Rica Matsumoto. Of course, the playful and rambunctious Pikachu did not appear shy, and was apparently even instinctively playful as it was seen with someone it was close with.

Rica Matsumoto lent her voice and talent to who is known in the Japanese version of the Pokemon anime as Satoshi, who is known in the west as Ash Ketchum. The report shows a picture wherein Matsumoto is standing right next to a Pikachu in the "Pokemon Go" game, and later appears to be in her shoulder. This has truly amplified how "Pokemon Go" has been for its players, including those who played heavy parts especially in its earlier days.
