iPhone 7 has been creating a buzz with announcements of promos offering the new 32GB iPhone 7 for free. There are currently a few promos spotted online, so below is a brief run down of the more notable ones.
T-Mobile made the announcement in Sept.8 offering to give away the 32GB iPhone 7 for free to any customer who would trade in an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6s, 9to5Mac reported. The deal is that T-Mobile will reimburse the $650 split up in the course of 24 months to eliminate the cost of the iPhone 7 when bought with the phone manufacturer's Jump monthly installment plan.
It may be similar to getting a contract under a different name, so if users want to own the phone right away before the 24 months are up, T-Mobile requires payment for the outstanding balance.
Sprint also revealed a similar plan with the iPhone 7 launch promos, trading in an old iPhone 6, 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, 6s Plus, Samsung Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 Edge for an iPhone 7. The promo requires signing up for one of Sprint's plans like the Unlimited Freedom which offers 50 percent off for switchers. The money will be paid via monthly bill credits for 24 months of installments lock-in period and switchers need to activate a new line or have an eligible upgrade to qualify, Telegraph reported.
Additionally, Sprint also offers 256GB iPhone 7 variants at the same cost as the 128GB variant online. There is a $100 difference between the two bringing down the price of the iPhone 7 to $749. The deals are made through pre-orders through Sprint's site on Sept.9.
The iPhone 7 will be officially launched by tech giant Apple on Sept. 16. Check out details of its specs, features, pricing and availability. Those who could afford the new smartphone at original price may skip these promos but for the rest it could be an option that may be worth a try.
