Bioshock Infinite News: NECA To Release A Replica Sky-Hook (See It In Action Here)

Irrational Games upcoming first-person shooter, BioShock Infinite is three months away from release.

But for gamers, who are eager to experience the exhilarating environments of Columbia and the specialized weapons comes a replica of the Sky-Hook, a new side-arm weapon from the game.

The 22-inch long replica Sky-Hook by NECA will be available for pre-order through GameStop and will cost $79.99. Here is a description of the replica from GameStop's website:

"The Bioshock Infinite Sky-Hook is the main weapon and mode of transportation in the highly anticipated upcoming Bioshock game. This life size 1:1 prop replica is exactly how the Sky-Hook would look in the real world. The Sky-Hook measures over 22" in length and is nearly 11" tall, it features motorized action that causes the gears and 3 hooks to spin when the trigger is squeezed. Details include supportive arm brace and highly detailed engravings as if this replica came directly from R.J. Pickwick Manufacturing. NECA's Sky-Hook will release on Feb. 26, about a month before the release of BioShock Infinite, which releases on March 26, 2013. You can also check out NECA's Sky-Hook replica in the video after the jump.

BioShock Infinite is indirect sequel to the first two games in the series and features a new location, the floating air-city of Columbia. The game is set in 1912 and will be centered on former Pinkerton agent Booker DeWitt's mission to find a young woman, Elizabeth, who has been held captive in Columbia for the last twelve years.

Although Booker is successful in rescuing Elizabeth, the city's warring fractions and Elizabeth's captor, a giant mechanical songbird pursue the duo.
