'Pokemon Go' Cheats, Tips & Tricks: Distance Traveled Transferable to New Buddy? Here's How to Try It

"Pokemon Go" apparently reached a status wherein fans are happily following the app relentlessly, especially with the addition of the Buddy System. For those that are thinking of their distance data, a recent proposed method may just be the saving grace if to try and give to another buddy.

Niantic's newly released "Pokemon Go" Buddy System has seemingly caught the attention once more of those fans that drifted away not too long after trying the game. Despite the few limitations in which the company has given to the feature, one privilege is said to be advantageous, as some claim to have come across.

According to Heavy, one particular means in which transferring the acquired distance walked by one Pokemon buddy to another in "Pokemon Go" may just be what is needed by those attempting to make use of candies more effectively. An example is that of Squirtle, with an acquired distance of two kilometers-switching to a Pikachu will start at zero, but once returned to Squirtle, the two kilometers are retained.

The said method is said to be most beneficial if a "Pokemon Go" trainer would want to make use of the excess distance if the designated candy mark from the previous has been reached, giving it to another Pokemon. As per Otaku Kart, the suggested method will simply be a few steps.

First, the "Pokemon Go" trainer must walk suggestively straight, make a certain time and from there, the player can switch to the wanted Pokemon and wait as the update transfers the distance walked to the new buddy. It is worth noting, however, that it will only record and transfer the distance walked in the said time, not the entirety of what the original Pokemon buddy has walked.

As a sense of disclaiming, the said "Pokemon Go" method may not work all the time, or at least if not done properly. Given that many new feats are expected befall the worldwide game craze, there are still some issues that Niantic needs to address, specifically the Plus devices' connectivity for the Android devices.

Will the "Pokemon Go" distance transfer feature be a lasting trait for the app? Keep posted for more updates and news here at Gamenguide.
