Google Nexus 2016 Release Date, News, Update: Android 7.0 Nougat, Snapdragon 820-Equipped To Launch in October; Likely To Beat Best Android Smartphones?

Google Nexus 2016 is rumored to be released soon despite the lack of details coming from the tech giant. However, different leaks have revealed the possible specs, including a new name Pixel, which reportedly encouraged online sellers to start selling the front panels of the upcoming phone.

The Google Nexus 2016 front panels and touch screen were put on sale by seller Oneby_tech on the Canadian eBay website. The designs were based on the leaked photos and renders of the Pixel smartphones.

Google Nexus 2016 is also expected to bring changes to its name series. There are speculations that its name will be changed to Pixel, with a codename Sailfish, and Pixel XL, with Marlin as its codename, since HTC manufactures the smartphones for Google.

Upcoming Google Nexus 2016 or Pixel XL comes with a Snapdragon 820 bit quadcore SoC along with Adreno 530 GPU, a 5.5-inch Quad HD display as well as a 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Aside from this, the phone is also rumored to feature an 8MP front camera and a 13MP rear camera. Also, it is likely to run either Android 7.0 or 7.1 Nougat pre-installed.

Google Pixel, on the other hand, is expected to come with a 5-inch full HD display, 3GB of RAM, 2,770 mAh battery and a Snapdragon 820 chipset.  The retail price for the upcoming phone is believed to be higher than last year's model. Google Nexus 2016 or Pixel smartphones are rumored to be released in Oct. 4, Yibada reported.

Meanwhile, the Snapdragon 821-powered mobile devices have several expectations to meet, especially when smartphone users had experienced the best of the android devices. Although Google has rebranded, reports suggest that the tech giant also focused redesigning.

This has led to some speculations that Pixel phones are created to beat the performance of the highly admired Nexus 6P that has been known to offer the best camera in the Nexus series.

Google Nexus 2016 rumored specs are expected to exceed the performance of Samsung Galaxy S7, LG G5, HTC 10 and Nexus 6P, which have been considered the best android phones so far, University Herald reported.
