Taiwanese tech firm ASUS already introduced the Zenfone 3 lineup this summer, but people in the US have yet to know when they can get their hands on the impressive models, especially the Zenfone 3 Deluxe Special Edition. Currently, there are three Zenfone 3 variants available in the U.S. market, but consumers are looking forward to the U.S. release of the Special Edition.
The Zenfone 3 Deluxe Special Edition is the high-end variant of the Zenfone 3 lineup. The powerful device runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset and includes other top-rated specs as well. The device has a 6 GB of RAM, a 256 GB storage capacity, and sports a 5.7-inch AMOLED display. The camera specs are also something that would entice smartphone users,who are keen on taking quality photos, to go for the high-end variant. The Deluxe Special Edition features a 23-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies. To power up everything and making sure users can take advantage of the phone's specs, a 3,000 mAh battery is on board.
The Zenfone 3 Deluxe Special Edition is expected to arrive on Oct. 19 with a price tag of $799. It is definitely considered very pricey, but the unit will be sold unlocked. For those who are not willing to shell out that amount of money, the Zenfone 3 Deluxe with the same screen size but a less powerful Snapdragon 820 chipset can serve as a decent alternative priced at $499.
Another lower-priced version of the Deluxe priced at $399 could also be another alternative. However, this variant only runs on a Snapdragon 625 chipset and has a 5.5-inch screen display. As for the Zenfone 3 Ultra, which boasts of a 6.8-inch display, consumers have yet to know when this will be released in the U.S. So far, there are no details and the fate of the phablet in the U.S. markets remains uncertain.
