Google Nexus 7 Release Date, News & Update: Google to Unleash Latest Units; Nexus 7 Successor Pixel 7

The unveiling of the highly anticipated upgraded version of "Nexus 7" was not included at the recent Google Pixel event last Oct. 4, 2016. There are rumors running everywhere that "Nexus 7" will still be releasing this year despite its absence in the recent event. It is also expected that it will be manufactured by Huawei.

On the other hand, Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones are the talk of all the gadget enthusiasts that Google unveiled at the Google Pixel event. Nexus 7 may also be rebranded as a Pixel Tablet and there are also previous rumors that the new tablet will still be releasing this year together with the smartphones.

According to the PC Adviser, the HTC-made Nexus 9 is no longer available on Google Store. This information led to the public's conclusion that Google by chance is preparing for a release of a new product and that might be the Nexus 7 2016.

However, Google has no plans of continuing the Name Nexus on its upcoming devices. There are also speculations that if Google will be releasing a new tablet, which the successor of the current Nexus 7, it would be named as Pixel 7 or Pixel Tablet as per reported by Engadget. Google has not confirmed anything about the release of the Nexus 7 yet so the rumors should not be taken seriously. And there are reports about Google that they are indeed planning on releasing a new Tablet during this year or before this year end.

The successor of "Nexus 7" is rumored to be running with Andromeda operating system instead of the Android Nougat in which it expected to until these rumors started spreading. This OS can bring desktop features and this is the merged baby of Chrome OS and Android. The said OS will run Snapdragon 820 chipset and an Adreno 530 and this may also sport a 7-inch AMOLED display.
