'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2' Release Date, News & Update: Open Beta Version Extended; Bandai Namco Unveiled Raid Quest

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" was made available to players through open beta that was released on Oct. 14. Fans were really excited to try the game; however, the excitement turned to frustration after players experienced server issues while playing.

With multiple reports about the glitch, the game developer issued a statement regarding the problem. On Dragon Ball Z Game's Facebook page, the team behind "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" admitted that they are experiencing some problem. "We are currently having issues with access to PlayStation Network and this is making it difficult to play the game. We have not scheduled any maintenance for our own servers since there are no problems with it," they shared.

They added that if they cannot fix the issue as soon as possible, they have no choice but to postpone the new feature called "Raid Quest." It must be noted that players can only get their hands on this quest when it is connected to the "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" server. So, if it is not working properly, then the quest will not be accessed at all.

Saiyan Island reported that Bandai Namco also admitted that there are bugs in the open beta of "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2." The gaming company explained that the issue is actually not due to the game's dedicated servers but on another party's server. It was mentioned that the issues are caused by PlayStation Network, which is also hosting the upcoming "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" open beta.

Now, since there are issues with the "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" open beta, players have sent requests to extend the beta version. Bandai Namco responded positively and the extension was announced on Oct. 16.

The beta test was supposed to run for three days only, from Oct. 14 to 17, but it was extended until Oct. 18. Although the request for extension was granted by Bandai, not everyone can enjoy it as only those who downloaded it within the first two days from its release date have the privilege to play "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2." Meanwhile, the full version of "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" is set to arrive in North America on Oct. 25.
