'FIFA 17' Latest News & Update: First Title Update to Improve Gameplay, Fix CPU AI, and More Game Details Revealed

"FIFA 17" will be receiving its first title update this week. The update will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and on PC. It will also be bringing new components to the "FIFA 2016/17 Premier League" broadcast package.

Gameplay Updates

Several gameplay fixes will be implemented in "FIFA 17" via the new title update. This includes the situation where cancel becomes unresponsive after requesting clearance. It will also fix the issue wherein a penalty shootout should have ended earlier. The issue where players overrun the ball after a skill move is also addressed. There was also the issue where instead of attempting a clearance, the player would control the ball, which has now been fixed.

The update then brings improvements to the gameplay of "FIFA 17." This includes the increased tendency of the CPU artificial intelligence to attack directly. The ball physics has also been improved, in which shots off the goals posts lose a lot of speed. The player switching from free kicks and corners has also been improved. The overall responsiveness on shooting has also been improved.

Pro Club Updates

The Pro Clubs were also included in the first title update. An increased experience is now required for the higher overall ratings in the Pro Clubs. This may result to some players having lower overall ratings in "FIFA 17" than before the update was implemented. The update also addressed the issue wherein the customized facial features of a player do not display properly.

Ultimate Team Updates

The FUT Single Player difficulty does not default to the CPU settings anymore. "FIFA 17" also addressed the fact that players are forced to substitute injured players in FUT online matches. The update had also corrected the shooting and crossing text in custom tactics.

Career Mode Updates

Perhaps the biggest, most necessary fix in "FIFA 17" is that the CPU AI would now avoid leaving star players on the bench. There are also visual improves in the update, including team kits, banners, and flags for both Velez Sarsfield and Tigre. The frame rate issue during pre-match skill game has also been addressed.
