‘Persona 5’ Release Date, News & Update: Voice Cast Of English Version Revealed; Western Launch In February 2017?

"Persona 5" is currently preparing to launch in the West. In the meantime, Atlus featured the English voice actors for "Persona 5."

Gematsu revealed that the full voice acting cast of "Persona 5" include Xander Mobus as the protagonist. Morgana, the unofficial mascot of the role-playing title, is voiced by Cassandra Morris, Ryuji Sakamoto by Max Mittelman and Ann Takamaki by Erika Harlacher. Yusuke Kitagawa is voiced by Matt Mercer, Makoto Niijima is voiced by Cherami Leigh, Futaba Sakura by Erica Lindbeck, Haru Okumura by Xanthe Huynh and GoroAkechi by Robbie Daymond.

The game developer also released a new video that highlights each cast member, before "Persona 5" officially launches in 2017. A new video also featured Xander Mobus providing some details about his nameless protagonist.

Mobus previously voiced Dagda in "Shin MegamiTensei 4: Apocalypse." Before "Persona 5," he was also the announcer in "Super Smash Bros" on Wii U.

GameSpot reported that the voice cast of "Persona 5" consists of talents with experience in English adaptations of popular manga series. Robbie Daymond is best known for playing Tuxedo Mask in "Sailor Moon Crystal" and McCree in Blizzard's hit shooter "Overwatch." Cassandra Morris voiced Leafa in "Sword Art Online."

Max Mittelman is the voice behind Saitama in the English version of "One Punch Man." Erika Harlacher was previously AsseylumVersAllusia in Aldnoah Zero and Sadira in "Killer Instinct." Cherami Leigh was Sailor Venus in "Sailor Moon Crystal." Erica Lindbeck was Jericho in "The Seven Deadly Sins." Xanthe Huynh was Fuyumi Yanagi in "Blood Lad."

"Persona 5" is actually the sixth installment in the series, set in Tokyo, Japan. The story focuses on a protagonist who recently moved to the fictional Shujin High School after being placed on probation for assaulting a stalker. During the school year, the protagonist and other students discover their Persona powers and transform into masked vigilantes, known as the Phantom Thieves of Hearts in "Persona 5."

"Persona 5" launched in September 2016 for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in Japan. North America and Europe are expected to have the game available on Feb. 14, 2017. More updates and details on "Persona 5" are expected soon.
