‘Destiny’ Events, Latest News & Update: Two Seasonal Events Returning; Challenge Modes, New Ornaments & More

Bungie recently revealed that there will be new weapon ornaments for five exotic guns in "Destiny." Two seasonal events are also set to make a comeback, featuring more challenges and bonuses.

Bungie featured the new weapon ornaments for Bad Juju, Red Death, Thorn, The Last Word and Black Spindle. There will be two ornaments for Bad Juju in "Destiny" that will launch with the returning Festival of the Lost event.

One "Destiny" ornament for Bad Juju looked like the skull of a bird while the second looked like the skull and spine of a predator. Red Death will also have two new ornaments, which include two variations of a spiky side.

The Thorn ornaments feature rugged exteriors, with the second version presenting a greenish glow. The Red Death and Thorn ornaments in "Destiny" will reportedly arrive in the winter.

The Last Word and Black Spindle are also set to receive new ornaments in "Destiny," although Bungie did not provide images for these in the meantime. The adjustments for these may be connected to the returning Sparrow Racing League. According to the "Destiny" game developer, the aesthetic changes are still in development and could undergo changes before their official release dates.

GameRant reported that the Festival of the Lost and Sparrow Racing League events will arrive after the release of "Destiny: Rise of Iron." Festival of the Lost will officially commence on Oct. 25, 2016, which will include collectible masks, new quests and consumable candy.

There will also be new Ghost shells, a new Sparrow, new emotes, shaders and emblems, among others, in "Destiny." The event will continue until November 8.

After Festival of the Lost, Wrath of the Machine's Challenge Modes will return in "Destiny." Bungie stated that raiding will be more dangerous but offer greater rewards.

In December 2016, Sparrow Racing League will return, which will also bring new features to "Destiny." The new ornaments for the exotic weapons will reportedly arrive before the end of the year.

With the upcoming events and game add-ons in "Destiny," Bungie seems to be keen on maintaining the interest of gamers through 2017. "Destiny: Rise of Iron" is currently available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
