‘Kingdom Hearts 3’ Release Date, News & Update: New Screenshots Confirms Mt. Olympus & New Drive Form?

Game publisher Square Enix teased fans with new screenshots of their highly-anticipated role-playing game "Kingdom Hearts 3." Fans were quick to make their own interpretations on the possible release date, new location and the latest Drive Forms.

'Kingdom Hearts 3' Tease Fans

"Kingdom Hearts 3" is one of the most looked-forward RPG as of date and fans are eager to know more about the title. Game publisher Square Enix recently gave fans a first glimpse of the game sparking speculations of its possible release date and features, Gamesradar reported.

The two screenshots were released during the Paris Week Game conference, offering a good look at the protagonist Sora and his new abilities as he fights off The Heartless. "Kingdom Hearts 3" comes from the same publisher as the popular franchise "Final Fantasy" and another role-playing game "Dragon Quest."

So it shouldn't come as a surprise that "Kingdom Hearts 3" has been talked about even after 10 years of waiting. "Kingdom Hearts 3" was just confirmed in 2013 but the game has been closely guarded until the publisher decided to tease fans with the two screenshots.

'Kingdom Hearts 3' New World & Drive Forms

The first screenshot of "Kingdom Hearts 3" shows protagonist Sora wielding an altered version of Hercules' shield. These prompted fans to believe the game will bring back Drive Forms - a special set of abilities that can be triggered to enhance appearance and skills.

Meanwhile, the second image hyped up fans' excitement as a new world was teased. "Kingdom Hearts 3" may see a new world called Mt. Olympus, the world of Hercules and home of the Gods.

The keyblade used which was mostly obscured by the bright white light is connected to an unknown world that hasn't been released yet. The KH Twitter account offered an explanation saying that the keyblade was purposely edited into a hammer as it comes from a new world, which fans will know when "Kingdom Hearts 3" is released.
