"Final Fantasy XV" fans will crave to play characters other than Noctis and his gang after producer Haruyoshi Sawatari confirmed that Luna is a candidate to become a female playable character.
There is a catch in this "Final Fantasy XV" buzz though, this feature might be available through pay to play option. Meaning, Luna will kill the Noctis monotony for a price. Secondly, everything is still on the fly according to Sawatari. Yes, there is high demand for Luna and other female characters but this feature is still under consideration and haven't got the green light yet.
Translating from French Jeuxvideo interview with Sawatari, he said that Square Enix's plan for "Final Fantasy XV" is to become a staple for the franchise. The publisher intends to build a long-running storyline out of FFXV and they acknowledge that there should be another mover of separate episodes. Now who is the first character that comes into Sawatari's mind? It isn't surprising anymore that Luna is the first product of his blubbers.
Remember that "Final Fnatasy XV" is well-focused into Noctis character and his marriage-under-threat storyline. Since his brothers also provide additional adventures to the gameplay, it is hard to see where Luna will fit in this iteration. Siliconera suspects that the way to inject Luna's own quest is for Square Enix to create an independent DLC. So given this premise, Luna is likely to become playable at at mid-part of 2017.
Meanwhile, it is inevitable to stress that "Final Fantasy XV" is less than a month away and will not invade PlayStation 4 and Xbox One until Nov 29. There are possibilities that Square Enix will clear the nebulous details about the plan by then. But even so, gamers are in for sleepless nights thinking about Luna - or how about Gentiana and Aranea? They aren't bad choices neither if there will be female playables at FFXV in the future, right?
