'Overwatch' News & Update: Is This The First Official Look Of New Character Sombra? Find Out Here!

All the "Overwatch" fans have long been waiting for the reveal of the mysterious Mexican character Sombra, and it seems that there's finally a better look of her. A leak from the official Blizzard site for "Overwatch" merchandise confirms a previous leak from a couple of weeks back.

Members of the "Overwatch" Reddit were the ones who found the leaked artwork of Sombra, which can be viewed here at GameSpot. The publication reports that the artwork is signed by John Polidora, who is involved with the game as a character designer and illustrator.

Sombra, who is rumored to be a hacker character considering the different audio-visual alternate reality puzzles Blizzard has thrown out to hint towards her, is standing atop a giant Omnic. This may mean that her abilities in "Overwatch" involve controlling a mech, like the tank character D.Va, but in a more agile manner as her primary weapon is a submachine gun.

Players are expecting Blizzard to officially reveal Sombra at this year's BlizzCon, which is starting this Friday. It's also possible that there are more "Overwatch" reveals to celebrate the Day of the Dead festivals in Mexico this week.

Sombra is part of Los Muertos, a gang in "Overwatch" version of Earth and a recent post on the "Overwatch" blog describes a protest of the Dorado nuclear plant. Dorado is a Mexican map in the game and there's a chance Blizzard may be revealing a new map as well.

BlizzCon is all sold out if you're thinking about attending, but interested fans can go buy a virtual ticket worth $40 to stream the event. Expect new material not only for "Overwatch," but "Hearthstone," "Heroes of the Storm," and if the rumors are true, maybe a "Diablo 4" teaser. But don't get your hopes up.
