Electronic Arts' Blake Jorgensen confirmed that "Star Wars Battlefront 2" is in the pipeline and everything is on the go as the title preps up for release next year. However, there are much questions about when is the exact date in 2017.

Now straight to the point, "Star Wars Battlefront 2" is coming during fall of 2017. This is based on Jorgensen's confirmation that it should take exactly one year for them before they can start shipping. Come to think of it, this development zeroed in the timeframe and gave players better chance in guessing the release. The former announcement was vaguely placed between April to December next year.

According to Polygon, Jorgensen also provided several bits of information on how "Star Wars Battlefront 2" franchise will look like in the coming years. EA plans to make Star Wars titles every year or so to provide storyline continuity.

Meanwhile, Game Spot narrated that "Star Wars Battlefront 2" will present deeper and equally engaging plot. Particularly cited from EA interview is the description that next year's iteration has bigger and better worlds compared to its predecessor. What gamers could expect are contents that will run parallel to recent Star Wars movie. This is complimentary to the whole storyline considering that the original Battlefront has only covered the events in the first three movies.

In related development, EA admits that they did not expect the warm reception for Battlefront prequel. There were total of 14 million copies sold worldwide to necessitate the making of "Star Wars Battlefront 2." This time around they also ensured that quality is the ethos of the game. Two respected developers including DICE and Motive Studios are working on the title.

To cap up, the surprises next year doesn't end with "Star Wars Battlefront 2." EA revealed that Respawn is working on a third-person shooter that is related to Star Wars, so is Dead Space Studio.
