It would seem like "Arrow" is going to have a character addition that fans will be more familiar with. Talia al Ghul will be making an appearance on "Arrow" Season 5, and how she will be tied into the storyline is still shrouded in mystery.
The CW's "Arrow" has done an amazing job when it comes to bringing beloved DC characters to television. It has also done an equally amazing job in becoming what some may consider a pseudo-Batman.
Throughout its seasons, "Arrow" has been the home of several iconic Batman villains, such as Deadshot and, arguably, Deathstroke. But having Ra's al Ghul grace the set of "Arrow" solidifies the theory that a more Batman-like world is what showrunners, Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Andrew Kreisberg had in mind.
In a report by Gizmodo, "Stargate SG-1" and "Continuum" actress, Lexa Doig is brought in portray Ra's al Ghul famous daughter, Talia al Ghul. Doig, who plays the role of Sonya Valentine in the Canadian sci-fi series, Continuum shift, is brought on to be a recurring character in "Arrow" Season 5.
Talia is said to appear on "Arrow" Season 5 Episode 10 titled "Who are You?" According to Variety, the CW version of Talia will be the same as she was in the comics, minus her tie-in with Batman. She is described as the half-sister of Nyssa al Ghul, who is already a recurring character in the Arrow-verse. She is also the daughter of Ra's al Ghul, but prefers to create to side with her own interests rather than her father's.
Talia is also a prominent Batman supporting character in Batman, and the mother to their son Damian Wayne, the fifth Robin. She is well-known for alternating between anti-hero and villain, so it will be interesting to see if the showrunners will decide to go this route with "Arrow." Will fans see Oliver being romantically linked to Talia? How will this affect Oliver's marriage with Nyssa? Fans will have to wait for "Arrow" Season 5 Episode 10 to find out.
