'ARK: Survival Evolved' Release Date, News & Update: Studio Wilcard Aims to Blanket PlayStation 4, Xbox One & Possibly Nintendo Switch

Studio Wildcard plans to cover all platforms with their flagship "ARK: Survival Evolved," starting with PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One following shortly, then a potential conclusion with Nintendo Switch.

The developer said that they already submitted "ARK: Survival Evolved" for Sony certification and they are looking for PlayStation 4 and its sister PlayStation 4 Pro. Meaning, latter version of this title can run at resolution higher than 720p and seamless gameplay at over 30 fps. In fact, lead developer Jeremy Steiglitz stressed that PlayStation 4 Pro is like fit in a glove for "ARK: Survival Evolved."

Meanwhile, even if "ARK: Survival Evolved" will be launched at PlayStation 4 first, Xbox One will follow soon to synchronize all future game updates. There are no information yet about the fate of Nintendo Switch version but it was learned that plans are already in the move, PlayStation Lifestyle said. Further, all versions will be the same across all platforms to promote uniformity.

So when will "ARK: Survival Evolved" actually invade PlayStation 4? It seems that this title is going to knock doors sooner that everybody expects because Studio Wildcard finally reached its crowdfunding goal based on Twitch announcement. "ARK: Survival Evolved" pegged $25,000 intended for live streaming and possible competition pot money so think of late November to early December release.

Now taking a peek on what to expect in "ARK: Survival Evolved," Xbox version will have the upper hand albeit releasing later than PlayStation 4. Steiglitz shared that what is called Procedurally Generated ARKS will be added to Xbox in December. Further, Studio Wildcard announced that Xbox is going to receive user interface overhaul and gameplay changes on-the-spot after all were tested in PS4. As if these aren't enough, there will be more content as well.

So everything boils down to the concept that PlayStation 4 is going to have the advantage of earlier play while Xbox reaps the modifications from lessons learned. Therefore, "ARK: Survival Evolved" players can expect seamless gameplay and better servers by then.
