‘GTA Online’ Latest News & Update: Rockstar's 'Tron' Inspired ‘Deadline’ Mode Features Special Bonuses, Double Rewards

Rockstar Games has recently unveiled its new "Deadline" challenge for "Grand Theft Auto 5's" multiplayer mode, "GTA Online." Reminiscent of the classic movie "Tron," the game's new vehicles feature neon colored light cycles with several unique moves.

Rockstar's new adversary mode for "GTA Online," available in "Grand Theft Auto 5," will allow players to live out their "Tron" fantasies given the game's colorful new bikes. Named the "Deadline" mode, the latest update introduced the sleek-looking and futuristic bike called the Nagasaki Shotaro, according to an announcement posted on the gaming company's website.

Described as a "blazingly fast" bike, the Shotaro emits an explosive light trail that can blast away opponents unlucky enough to come in contact with the said temporary trail. With a variety of neon colors, players can purchase the "Tron"-like vehicle after playing the "Deadline" mode for the first time. The action will unlock the said bike, as well as a special in-game Nagasaki Logo Tee that gamers can get for free.

"GTA Online's" new adversary mode is a four-player battle where gamers can use a variety of moves to defeat opponents. Special power-up moves such as Boost, Zoned and Hop can help to increase a player's speed, decelerate time and leap over light trails, respectively.

Rockstar has also prepared several bonuses such as a 25 percent reduction in purchasing Biker Business supplies, as well as special discounts on weapons and tactical vehicles. These items include the Bullet Ammo, Body Armor, the Karin Technical, MTL Brickade and more.

Gamers can also earn double RPs and "GTA Online" cash with the said new adversary mode. However, the bonuses, special in-game items and discounts are only available until Nov. 21.

In other news, Rockstar's parent company Take-Two Interactive recently shared its latest earnings report for its Q2 fiscal period. The action adventure game "Grand Theft Auto 5" was highlighted as one of the company's bestselling gaming titles, Gamespot reported. Over 70 million copies of the said game has been sold, while its multiplayer mode "GTA Online" continue to gain more players.

"GTA Online's" new "Deadline" mode was released on Nov. 8, Tuesday. Watch the trailer below:
