'Gotham' Season 3 Spoilers: Nathaniel Barnes to Transform as The Judge, Gotham City's Newest Criminal and Another Harvey Dent Alter-Ego

Police Captain Nathaniel Barnes (Michael Chiklis) has finally listened to the voices inside his head and embraced his dark side. This was after he was infected by the blood of Alice Tetch (Naian Gonzales Norvind). In the next episode of “Gotham” Season 3, he may well be introduced as the newest villain to wreak havoc in Gotham City.

In the last “Gotham” episode, Barnes ran afoul with the law and became a killer of villains himself. He first felt guilty over what he did. But, he became enraged when a plastic surgeon named Symon, who made his living out of giving new faces to the city’s criminals, was captured and later released by the cops due to lack of charges against him.

The voices inside his head tells him the plastic surgeon is guilty which made him confront the man inside the men’s bathroom. Barnes literally pushed him out of the wall and declared himself as the judge, jury and executioner in the “Gotham” Season 3 episode.

According to “Gotham” spoilers, all these point to Barnes becoming the Batman animated series villain named The Judge according to Cinema Blend. The villain actually has another personality that a lot more people may be familiar with, Harvey Dent, the alter-ego of Two-Face. The judge is one of his personalities who want to rid Gotham City of criminals.

Chiklis in an interview with Blastr said that his character in “Gotham” was forced to transform because things around him were spiraling out of control. In another interview, he revealed that even before he took on the role of Barnes, he already knew of the big twist in the character. The actor said knowing that the character was to go somewhere else actually helped him develop his character better.

Monday’s episode aptly titled “The Executioner” will also feature the reunion of the now grown-up Poison Ivy and her friend Selina Kyle. This means more trouble in Gotham City. New episodes of “Gotham” air Monday nights on FOX.
