Recent rumors suggest that the Vivo Xplay 6 is bound to launch in November 2016. The upcoming Vivo Xplay 6 is said to showcase powerful features that will contend with the top flagship phones of the year.
GSM Arena wrote that Vivo is the third-biggest smartphone maker in China, in terms of shipments. In the past 12 months, Vivo managed to boost their shipments by over 100 percent, making it one of the most promising smartphone manufacturers on a global scale.
Aside from the Vivo Xplay 6, the company is also preparing to launch the Vivo X9 and X9 Plus, which will further establish its position in the mobile market. Vivo previously unveiled the Vivo Xplay 5 in March 2016, which featured a metal body, curved display and above average specifications.
The Vivo Xplay 6 is said to arrive in China later in November, which will be the new flagship model. The Vivo Xplay 6 is said to include a 5.43-inch QHD Super AMOLED display with a 2560 x 1440 resolution, a 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 821 processor, an Adreno 530 GPU, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal memory and a 4000mAh battery.
The Vivo Xplay 6 is also said to have the Android Marshmallow 6.0, skinned with the Vivo Funtouch 3.0 OS out of the box. It will also feature a metal body, similar to the Xplay 5, Vivo X9 and X9 Plus. The new flagship model may retain the curved display of its predecessor with a number of design tweaks.
Phone Arena reported that a couple of leaked images of the rumored Vivo Xplay 6 recently surfaced, revealing the front and rear of the phone. The front seemed to feature a curved screen and what appears like a finger-scanning home button.
The back showed a dual camera setup. The Vivo Xplay 6 camera specifications are still unknown, although one of the back shooters should be at least 16-megapixels. The rear image showed two cameras and a flash.
Vivo is expected to introduce the Vivo Xplay 6 sometime in November, and the upper-midrange X9 and X9 Plus on November 16. More updates and details on the Vivo Xplay 6 are expected soon.
